Du wirst auf einem 25' Mowdy Center-Console-Boot mit Platz für 6 Passagiere angeln. Es ist mit allem ausgestattet, was eine Angelmaschine braucht. Ruten, Rollen und Tackle werden gestellt, ebenso wie Kunstköder. Lebendköder werden angeboten, aber es ist gut, danach zu fragen, damit du weißt, ob du sie selbst fangen musst.

Bevor du an Bord kommst, musst du für jeden in deiner Gruppe einen lokalen Angelschein kaufen. Diese Informationen sind normalerweise online verfügbar, oder du kannst den Kapitän fragen. Einige Arten könnten geschützt sein oder einen speziellen Schein erfordern, um sie zu behalten, also stelle sicher, dass du weißt, was dich erwartet.

Awesome day on the water

Wanted to take my teenage boys out fishing for the first full day of summer. Captain Ashton was awesome and made the day even more special than I could have asked for. Lots of fish caught, so many my youngest and I had to take a break. Captain Ashton was kind enough to let my youngest steer the boat which for him was better than landing the largest catch. All in all we will definitely be using Captain Ashton again when we get the chance.

Incredible, knowledgeable, and patient guide - best fishing experience we've had.

We had an outstanding experience fishing Matagorda Bay with Captain Ashton this weekend. Our group included me and my three sons (ages 15, 16, and 8), and this was their first time fishing from a boat and using spinning reels. Captain Ashton was incredibly patient and took the time to make sure each of them felt comfortable and confident, which made a huge difference in their overall experience. As a father of five, I couldn't have asked for a better guide there. 

And despite windy and warmer conditions, Captain Ashton maintained a consistently positive attitude that really set the tone for the trip. His energy and encouragement kept everyone engaged and excited throughout the day. It was clear that he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that enthusiasm carried over to us.

He was also extremely knowledgeable about the area and knew exactly where to take us. Thanks to his guidance, we had a very successful outing and caught plenty of trout and black drum for our family of 7 and still had leftovers the next day!

Beyond his skills as a guide, Captain Ashton was personable, friendly, and easy to spend time with—something that really matters on a trip like this. He created an environment that was both relaxed and productive, which made it enjoyable for both the kids and me.

I would highly recommend Captain Ashton to anyone considering a trip in Matagorda Bay, whether you’re experienced or brand new to fishing. He’s a great guy and a great guide who knows how to deliver a fun, success focused, and memorable experience for all ages.

Captain Ashton provided a fantastic fishing experience in Matagorda, TX. He was professional, knowledgeable, and worked hard to put us on fish. The boat was well-maintained, and the trip was enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend booking a trip with him. Thanks again for a great day on the water!

I couldn’t have asked for more, Captain Ashton is legit! He treated my son and I am his best friend truly like first class. If you’re going to Matagorda to fish if you in the bay, this is who I would go with all day every day.

5hr doesn’t always mean that is all. Capt Ashton usually only books one trip a day because he want you to catch fish and if it takes longer he will stay out if you want too. We definitely got our moneys worth.
