Surrender At Sunrise ist Ihr Schlüssel zu etwas Anderem, Einzigartigem und Aufregendem auf den Gewässern von Aransas Pass, Texas. Seien Sie zumindest für eine Nacht ein echter Jäger. Probieren Sie Flunder-Gigging mit den Profis!

Denken Sie an die ruhigen und friedlichen Buchten, das sanfte Wasser und die leichten Winde. Stellen Sie sich vor, wie Sie am späteren Abend hinausfahren, um Ihre Abendessen für die Woche zu sichern. Probieren Sie es einmal aus, und Sie werden sicher immer wieder zurückkehren wollen.

Ihr Ausflug beginnt mit der Jagd auf die scheue Flunder. Sie sind nachtaktive Fische und fressen in den Untiefen entlang der Riffe und Bänke. Sobald die getarnten Fische gefangen sind, werden sie zu einem köstlichen Abendessen - gebacken, frittiert, gegrillt oder gebraten.

Kapitän Dave wird Sie an Bord willkommen heißen und dann beginnt der Spaß. Er wird das Boot ruhig entlang eines Austernriffs oder einer sandigen Fläche treiben lassen - überall dort, wo das Wasser flach und klar ist. Das Boot ist mit einem speziellen Licht ausgestattet, das auf den Grund hinunterleuchtet.

Das Boot selbst ist ein 22' Long Beach Aluminiumboot. Es wurde 2016 gebaut und ist das perfekte Gefäß für Flunder-Gigging. Das Boot wird von einem 150 PS Mercury Pro XS Motor angetrieben. Es gibt reichlich Platz für bis zu 4 Angler. Alle an Bord!

Der Ausflug beinhaltet die gesamte notwendige Ausrüstung für Flunder-Gigging. Sie sollten ein Insektenspray und eine Kühlbox mit den Getränken Ihrer Wahl mitbringen.

One of the best trips!

We take at least 2 guided trips a year with our boys all over the country. All types of fishing and this was our first time Giggin’! Dave was SO great!! This is at the top of our list as being one of our favorite family trips. My boys loved it and Dave was engaging and I have to believe the best giggin’ guide in Port A. We highly recommend him and look forward to another trip in the future!

March fishing trip

Capt Dave was there early, all ready to go.  Quick into then we went right out.  Got to initial fishing spot before sundown and watched the sunset.  Got to gigging and the conditions were rather murky.  We fished there for about ten minutes not seeing much.  Passed on a few small ones.   We cranked up and went to another place.  Started thinking shouldnt have passed on the small ones.  But got couple flounder there.   Then cranked up and went a few miles and started back in.  We worked all around getting a few here and there.  We started fishing at 830 PM and by 1045 we had our limit of ten for my 23 yo son and I.  We fished for another half hour or so after sheepshead and black drum getting one.  They were quite fast and it was pretty cold out.  We quickly went back to the dock and Dave nicely filleted the fish.  We were in our car by 1130.    Dave worked hard to put us on fish, not afraid to leave marginal conditions for better.   He talks the right amount and his boat is set up just perfect for gigging.   It's fast and smooth on the big motor and the prop works well.  The lights are really good, but it's still plenty challenging.  It's a lot of fun and is something different from the usual fishing.   Good value for the money.  I liked seeing his fishing reports as they gave an accurate depiction of how the fishing was progressing and it was as good for us as for those before us.   Go with Dave, you'll like it.

Floundering trip with captain Dave

Captain Dave was top notch...There were four of us and we gigged 4 limits of flounder plus a sheepshead. The boat was top of the line and Dave is a skilled captain and fisherman. I’ve floundered before but Dave pointed out fish I never would’ve seen...highly recommended!

Conditions were not the best but Capt. Dave worked hard to find the “Flatties” . It took some extra time but he lives up to his name , Surender at Sunrise, we limited out with 25 Flounder and some bonus Sheepshead and Black Drum !! Thanks Capt. We will be back !! Also Capt. Is awesome with kids , my 10 year old grandson’s first trip and now thanks to Capt. Dave , he is a “ gigging “ pro ! ?
