Today we went with a family to pick up Skipjacs and it was a success, we even had to take the lines out of the water because we already had the amount allowed by law. It was fun for everyone, for some it was the first big game fishing experience. Congratulations to everyone, always welcome.

Another special day. The water temperature was to cool for the White Marlin 18/19 degrees Celsius, but after searching for warmer areas after a long time, we finally found 20.5/21 degrees Celsius, and were they are White Marlins. Another angler who caught his first White Marlin, Alexander spent 15 minutes fighting this majestic pelagic. He was tagged with a Satellite Tag the Mate released him! Congratulations to Alexander and his partner, Yuliia, for choosing us to spend this day on the see. Wanting for you to come back 2026.

Double strike, it was a lot of fun watching the two White Marlins leap just 40 yards from the boat. One released the hook after running 100 yards, the other was released after 17 minutes of combat. Congratulations to James, who made an excellent cast.

Today we went on a full-day trip to white marlin, and it was very special since it had been a long time since we’d seen so many marine species in one day. We started by seeing a swordfish and a hammerhead shark. A bit later, we saw a pod of common dolphins numbering about 50 individuals. To our surprise, behind the dolphins was a whale (I think a pilot whale), and whip we where watching them we had a white marlin strike, our newcomer Mels took to the rod and with some skill, released his first white marlin, he was radiant and had a huge smile on his face. We set everything up again, and in less than 10 minutes, his father, Coert, had caught the second white marlin of the day and skillfully brought to the boat to be tagged and released. The family had a fantastic day and they guaranteed they’d be back.

Today we named this White Marlin “Quinten”, “it was an unforgettable experience, I had never caught and released such a majestic fish, the crew was incredible” he defined his experience aboard the SAL X. We had 1/2 White Marlins and saw a lot of life in the Algarve sea, Swordfish, Dolphins and sea birds.

Another great day aboard SAL X, 1/3 in White Marlins. Laurence had his first experience with a 40lbs pelagic White Marlin, 20 minutes of combat will stay with him for a lifetime.
