I'd Rather Be Fishing Charters
Above anything else, bring something warm to wear as being up north on top of the breeze off the lake always keeps it cool. Outisde of that I’d reccomend a cooler big enough for things like big salmon and laker fillets!

We hit the season a little early as the water was just starting to warm up, but still caught lots of tasty fish. I think June through August would be best.

Such a beautiful place. The east side is nicer than the west and quieter. Hunters Point Lodge is the likely place we will book next time. Greta places for breakfast and home cooked meals. Tutts is a legit bait shop that you have to stop at! The deals are amazing. $299 par of rain pants cost me $50. Not the most organizer store but that because the amount of stuff is crazy.

There was a neat plant control boat that looked like a John Deere tractor rolled off into the water. Not overgrown, but interesting patches of aquatic plants. I bet those lotuses and waterlilies are gorgeous in May!

For not knowing the area, or equipment, coming in from New Jersey, find a guide who knows the waterways. Captain Brian was 100x better than I could have expected.
Fished with my family (wife, son (15)) and we pulled in easily over 30 fish. Captain Brian was respectful, knowledgeable and communicative. 5 star rating only because I could not give more!
