We had an amazing fishing trip! The captain was friendly, knowledgeable, and worked hard to get us on the fish. The boat was clean, well-maintained, and everything was organized from start to finish. Just follow the advice of the ship captain and be willing to be flexible. If you schedule a trip in advance like we did, you may not know what the conditions on the lake will be like when it's time to actually get out there. Waves can get nasty and the weather's unpredictable.
Also, wear long sleeves/pants and maybe get bug spray - there are aquatic insects that fly above the water even a few miles out. They bite.
