Good fishing continues for Striped bass in the mighty cape fear river. Changing temps and warmer water brings many more opportunities for anglers to come in the next several weeks with Atlantic bonita, false albacore blues and the first spanish mackeral of the year. Stay tuned!

The fishing has gotten pretty good for the.Reds and has been improving daily. Also catching plenty of flounder. In a few speckled trout. Spanish mackerel, false albacour, sharks and more typical summertime. Things such as barracuda have all been possibilities lately.

Atlantic bonitas, the first of the spanish bluefish are a few species that if you ever wanted to catch right now is still a great time to do that. There are amazing casting opportunities to schools of breaking fish that are providing great table fare and drag screaming rod bendos!!
