January 16, 2024 – Marlin and Skipjack Caught – Cabo Fishing Report
A six-hour private fishing charter aboard the 43-foot Riviera Blue Sky produced one marlin and one skipjack for six guests from Lewiston, Idaho, on January 16, 2024.
Dan, Sunni, Dusty, Casey, Staci, and Tiffani joined Captain Luis and the Blue Sky Cabo Fishing and Tours crew for a 6:00 AM departure from F Dock at IGY Marina.
The group selected a morning charter featuring the Tournament Dredge – Fish Attraction Device, designed to imitate schooling baitfish and attract offshore predators.
Cabo Fishing Charter – Marlin and Skipjack Action
The crew worked trolling presentations while searching for productive offshore waters surrounding Cabo San Lucas.
The day's primary catch was one marlin, released in accordance with Blue Sky Cabo's billfish conservation practices.
A skipjack provided additional fishing action, bringing the confirmed catch to two fish. The skipjack was also released.
The guests requested Coors Light and did not require lunch, allowing their six-hour charter to remain focused on fishing.
The 43-foot Riviera Blue Sky offered comfortable seating, a spacious fishing cockpit, and room for all six passengers to enjoy their private offshore experience.
