Despite a cloudy start, we ended up having an incredible day on the water. We caught fish long after we were tired of reeling them in—tuna, mahi-mahi, trout, and more. We landed over seven mahi-mahi and more than 30 fish overall, releasing many and still bringing home plenty for the weekend. The #1 goal when booking our trip was catching fish and Alejandro and his crew did not disappoint. With the odds stacked against us, (rainy season, storms to the left & right) Alejandro had us on fish within the first 30 minutes. First a mackerel, then bonita followed by a plethora of Mahi. Alejandro and his team put on a clinic on how to catch fish. During our trip we landed 20+ fish, catching nearly every species that Costa Rica had to offer. A great day fishing.  A bit overcast and occasional ran kept it cool and the fishing hot.  From Mahi to Tuna and big Sailfish at the end of the day, we could not have been happier.  We caught six species and never even got around to bottom fishing.  Highly recomend!!

Are in CR for a special trip for my son who is graduating. Me and my three boys went out for a full day offshore. Our two main targets were Mahi and Sailfish. My son who was graduating has always wanted to catch a self fish. We got some beautiful Mahi, a bunch of Rainbow Runner (the most delicious fish I’ve ever eaten)  and to top it off, my son won an 18 minute fight with a a spirited Sailfish!

family fishing day in Costa Rica with a great captain and mate. fishing was a little slow, but captain and mate couldn’t have worked any harder to put us on the fish. We did catch more than the other boats. We did end up catching some Rainbow Runner and the biggest Red Snapper. overall a great day on the water, and will definitely be back to book with Alejandro.
