I got off Discovery Princess at 6:15 AM. Capt. Jody was waiting for me in the parking lot for a two minute drive to the marina. It was a glorious day on the water, sea lions, whales breeching, glaciers, snow capped mountains and constant Halibut and Cod! Capt. Sorry, this took so long. Went to Alaska the first week in August to fish Halibut with Alaska 4-Star Charters. Could not have picked a better crew!! Captain Jodi got us on fish right **hidden content**-Capitan Darryl gave us a demo on equipment and technique, then let us loose.  After that, they spent their time coaching, teaching and making sure everyone caught fish and had fun.  We caught Rockfish, Cod, Halibut and Salmon.  I even hooked a big skate. Super knowledgeable crew! Not only did they have their spots to target for the different types of fish, they also had a lot of history to share on the area, since they are one of the longest running guide services running out of Whittier.

Crew really made you feel like family, Captian put us right on the fish and made sure everyone had a great time and caught fish. We limited out on Halibut, and caught a handfull of great looking Cod. If I’m in Whittier again I would use 4 Star

One fish in the boat but guide was great. Would go again. Fishing was slow but the guide did his best to get fish in the boat.
