My son and I decided we would do our first fishing charter this year for his college graduation. Captain Chris was great all the way around. we had hoped to catch some fish for dinner but they just were not biting, which happens. The weather leading yp to our trip was not great but we got great weather for the trip. Despite not catching dinner, Capt Chris found us something to catch, stingrays! We had a wonderful experience on our fishing charter trip and really appreciated the care and effort put into the day. The owner was personable, kind, and very communicative, making everything easy and enjoyable from start to finish. He worked hard trying different fishing spots to give us the best experience possible. We even caught a couple bluefish and had a great time together as a family. We’d absolutely book another trip again and highly recommend this charter to others.

Captain Chris was helpful, down to earth and personable. He was incredibly accommodating to my wife’s inexperience and my experience in different kinds of fishing. He was a great teacher and helped us understand the fishing, the conditions, and even the culture of the Outer Banks, and never once had a whit of being condescending. All in all, the most genuine fishing guide that I have ever gone out with. Would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

My group of 3 went out for an early morning 4 hour trip, and had a blast we were targeting Red Drum ! They were not biting but we ended up with 25 stingray , 8 croaker and a shark ! so it was a great trip Captian chris had us on fish all morning ! 2 hr trip, We had a blast. It was my sons (5yrs old) first salt water fishing experience. Captain Cobb was very engaging with my son and all the questions. Made us both feel in good company and not a number on a list. We will be coming back for a longer trip. I would absolutely recommend South Bound OBX Outfitters.
