We had a lot of fun fishing with Mike. He made sure to walk us through the proper techniques to have the best chance at catching fish, which was really appreciated! If the fish weren’t biting in the spot we were at, he moved us to a new one so we had the best chance at success. We were the only ones out on the lake, which made it even more fun. My husband reeled in a 30” pike on the first cast! We had a great time and would definitley recomend Mike to others.

He is a fabulous guide for two novices! He is very responsive, and is exceptional at knowing the moment the weather is going to turn. We had a storm roll in while we were out, and he was able to time it perfectly for us to get packed up and back to our cars. We learned to fly fish, and even as complete beginners managed to catch a few. He also brought other rods for other techniques, and there was never any down time. This trip was for a family vacation. My father in law, husband, and 9yr old son were looking for a fun fishing expedition and Captain Mike delivered. He was incredibly patient with our son who has limited experience with fishing and was a great coach to all along the way. They caught a ton of fish and have great pictures to show for it. We really enjoyed the beauty of the lake, and caught some great sized walleye, and my son caught a huge pike! Our Captain was patient with us, especially when we’d snag a few logs, and he’d get us to new spots when we caught all we could. We had a great Father’s Day.

We had the absolute best time on our fishing trip with Mike and MQT Adventures.  Mike taught my kids how to cast and jig and once they got the hang of it the fish were “jumping” in the boat.  Mike was a great teacher and coach and shared his knowledge about fishing and the area.  We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend!  Thank you for a great memory of our UP vacation!
