    captain Cody was great!

Captain Cody took myself and my two girls (9,5). He did a phenomenal job accommodating my girls and making sure that they had fun. The fishing was slow, however we still managed to catch Spanish mackerel, blue fish, lizard fish, speckled trout, a sting ray, and a citation bull red! Not too shabby for a “slow” morning on the water! 10/10 recommend Cody for your next fishing adventure!

started slow but heated up at the end!

Aaron was absolutely the best! The bite was tough at the beginning but Aaron was determined to find some fish and I ended up catching multiple species and lit up the Blues before coming back into the dock. i will be back and Aaron is a top notch Captain!

Captain Max is experienced and friendly

Epic Day of deep sea fishing with my three boys. Captain Max was great with kids. Kept them in line while keeping it friendly and litehearted. We caught trigger, red snapper, vermillion, and sand perch that we could keep and eat. Also he put us on some amberjack in the bay thay gave my son the fight of his life. All in all a wondeful experience. Cant wait to book another outing with Max next year.

Über Popping-Angelreisen

Popping is a topwater technique that turns strikes into a show. You cast a surface lure and work it so it splashes, gurgles, and calls fish up. It is simple to learn, exciting to watch, and effective in many waters.

This technique can tempt a wide range of game fish. Freshwater anglers often target Bass and Striped Bass. In saltwater, popping can draw savage hits from Giant Trevally, Roosterfish, Snook, Tarpon, Mahi Mahi, and Tuna, including Bluefin Tuna. The common thread is aggressive fish that hunt near the surface.

Most anglers use a strong spinning setup with braided line and a short fluorocarbon leader. The lure is a “popper,” a hard bait with a cupped face that spits water and makes noise. Short rod sweeps or quick reel turns create the sound and splash. On calmer days, a stick bait worked with a steady twitch can be deadly.

Expect fast casting, steady movement, and sudden surface explosions. Beginners can start with lighter tackle and smaller poppers in calmer, inshore water. Families enjoy the visual action and simple steps. Experienced anglers use heavier gear and large poppers to target powerful fish that demand stamina. Bring sun protection, polarized glasses, water, and non-marking shoes. Your captain will usually provide tackle, but you can bring favorite lures if you like.

Before you go, check local rules. Confirm if you need a fishing license or permit, and review open seasons, size limits, bag limits, and any catch-and-release or gear restrictions. Regulations change, and it’s best to follow current guidance from local authorities and your captain.
