Seeing red

As the water is getting warmer it seems like the red snapper are moving a little deeper.For anyone wanting to catch red snapper the best option is going to be the 8 hour trip on the contender.We have been seeing some keepers along with keeper red grouper on our five hour trip.We also will start running a 6 hour trip starting this week to get out a little further offshore.

We’ve been running mostly half day trips the last few weeks catching plenty of keeper grouper and snapper for dinner but last week we ran an 8 hour trip and did very well with a limit of both red grouper and red snapper.We are booking most of the nearshore offshore trips due to the weather on the contender.

Been a little breezy so far this summer but with the 35’ contender we’ve been able to get offshore.Red snapper opening was June 1 and its been pretty good so far this season and plenty of red grouper also.Most 5hr trips we’re catching plenty for dinner and on the 8hr trips we’ve been consistent catching our limit.
