Seeing red

Red grouper continues to be really good on both the 5 and 8 hour trips including a jumbo 33” red grouper caught on an 8 hour trip.On the 35’ contender we have federal permits so we can keep red snapper on all trips until late October.

As the water is getting warmer it seems like the red snapper are moving a little deeper.For anyone wanting to catch red snapper the best option is going to be the 8 hour trip on the contender.We have been seeing some keepers along with keeper red grouper on our five hour trip.We also will start running a 6 hour trip starting this week to get out a little further offshore.

We’ve been running mostly half day trips the last few weeks catching plenty of keeper grouper and snapper for dinner but last week we ran an 8 hour trip and did very well with a limit of both red grouper and red snapper.We are booking most of the nearshore offshore trips due to the weather on the contender.
