    Great time!

Jeff put us on trout and small mouth bass immediately. Very knowledgeable and willing to teach old dogs how to put them in the boat.

Don’t miss this incredible guide and experience

Josh gave me one of the most wonderful fishing trips I have ever had. He made sure we got on a lot of fish and it was really nice to speak with such a great person. He made me a few comfortable and made sure I had a wonderful time. I cannot recommend him more highly. But please don’t book in October as I plan on coming down next year and don’t want to get a it aced out. I cannot recommend this gentleman more highly and if you book with him, you won’t be sorry.

    Fun for everyone

Capt Charlie spends countless hours preparing for your trip. He scouts out the areas to fish before you even arrive for your trip. He set us up over the fish, had quality equipment, kept our poles baited, and was very knowledgeable on what we could find catch and keep it was a great time all around

Smallmouth Bass fishing is all about fast strikes and strong fights. This prized sport fish lives in cool, clear lakes and rivers with rocks and current. Anglers love it for its acrobatics, stamina, and reliable action across much of North America. It is an exciting target for both first-timers and seasoned pros.

You can catch Smallmouth Bass with spinning, baitcasting, or fly fishing. Work jigs and soft plastics along rocks to mimic crayfish, their favorite meal. Crankbaits and spinnerbaits cover water fast and trigger reaction bites. On calm mornings and evenings, topwater lures draw explosive strikes. Live bait like minnows or nightcrawlers also works well, especially in colder water.

Expect active fishing with lots of casting and moving to find structure and current breaks. Light to medium tackle keeps the fight fun and helps you feel subtle bites. Bring polarized sunglasses to spot rocks and fish, plus weather-appropriate clothing and sun protection. Many guides supply quality tackle and bait, and they are happy to teach new anglers. This trip suits families, kids, and anyone who enjoys clear water and steady action.

Before you go, check local rules for licenses or permits. Regulations can include seasons, size limits, and daily harvest limits, which vary by location. Some waters require catch and release, special gear, or barbless hooks. Review current rules with your captain or local agency so your Smallmouth Bass fishing trip stays safe and legal.
