    Fishing with Brandon

we had a wonderful time. The staff was so great. We enjoyed our time and definitely would do it again and next time we'll have to try an ice fishing trip. They bent over backwards to take care of us in every way and made sure that our grandsons had a wonderful time. Thank you thank you again. We would definitely advise you to see them and make a trip with him.

Sunfish are popular freshwater Panfish known for bright colors, round bodies, and steady action. Anglers target them for fun, frequent bites, and great teaching value. Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, and Redear are favorites because they school up and hit often. They fight hard for their size and make short, exciting battles on light tackle.

Sunfish fishing is simple and effective. Use light spinning gear, very small hooks, and a bobber to keep bait at the right depth. Worms, crickets, and small minnows work well. Tiny jigs and soft plastics also draw strikes. On calm days, fly fishing with small poppers or nymphs can be very productive near weed edges and shaded banks.

Expect relaxed, close-to-shore trips on ponds, lakes, and slow rivers. This is perfect for kids, beginners, and anyone who enjoys steady action. Look around docks, brush, lily pads, and drop-offs. Bring polarized sunglasses to spot fish, sunscreen, and plenty of bait. Keep quiet, make soft casts, and be ready for quick taps. Many anglers keep a few for the pan, while others practice catch and release.

Before you go, check local rules. You may need a fishing license or permit. Seasons, harvest limits, and gear restrictions vary by location. Review current regulations from local agencies and follow all rules during your trip.
