    Wonderful Day on the Sound

We had an incredible time on the water with Captain Dave. He is a true expert who shares hins knowledge of the area and the fishing. we landed pretty much every type of salmon that was around. Our two young boys enjoyed every second of the trip.

(6 Hour Trip - Back Bay)

Great Trip, even after last minute change due to weather

Great captain and first mate. Had to change our trip last minute from the In shore (20-30 miles off shore) to a bay trip but everything was still great. caught a ton of fish (no keepers) but it was still a lot of fun. The Captain is very knowledgeable and the first Mate was super attentive. I will be booking with them again. The boat is pretty big too with a nice wide deck.

Dogfish fishing is all about steady action and simple fun. Dogfish are small Sharks that bite often, fight hard for their size, and make a great first catch. Anglers target them for reliable bites, good teaching moments, and tasty fillets where allowed.

You can catch Dogfish by bottom fishing inshore or offshore, and sometimes while deep sea fishing. Drop bait like squid or cut fish on the bottom with a sinker and a strong leader. Surf fishing and pier fishing also work when fish move close to sandy or muddy bottoms.

Expect quick taps, short runs, and doubles when the school moves in. This is a relaxed, hands‑on trip that suits families, beginners, and anyone who wants lots of action. Bring layered clothing, non‑slip shoes, sun protection, and a cooler if your captain allows keeping fish. Handle with care around the sharp dorsal spines, and use circle hooks and pliers for easier releases.

Regulations for Dogfish fishing change by area and species. Always check local rules for fishing licenses or permits, seasons, and harvest limits before your trip, and follow your captain’s guidance on what you can keep.
