    Awesome Time

We had an amazing trip! we caught Coho Salmon , saw humpback whales and had the best time from start to finish Captain Lee and First Mate Nicole were fantastic and made the whole experience enjoyable and memorable. They were friendly knowledgeable and made sure we had an incredible day on the water . This was definitely one of the highlights of our Alaska trip . We couldn’t have asked for a better and would highly recommend Captain Lee and Nicole to anyone looking for a great experience

    Outstanding Trip!

From castoff to fish cleaning, Captain Ron was Great! Knowledgeable, professional and very personable. Clean boat, good equipment, and really helped my wife with the rod and reel. She was so excited catching fish she couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. We are already talking about going out again with Captain Ron. Look no further than Captain Ron and the Mo Grouper for your next charter fishing trip!

    (6 Hour Trip – Offshore)

    First offshore trip

We had to move days because of weather but everything worked out great. We were put right on top of fish and the action was nonstop.

(5 Hours – Offshore Deep Sea Fishing)

    Great Trip with Captain Brandon!

Captain Brandon was excellent and moved us until we got on the fish. We caught our limit of Vermillion Snapper and then fished for Trigger fish and Amberjack. We missed a few but ultimately pulled in a nice Amberjack. It was a great trip.

Tutto sulla pesca Pesca d'altura

Offshore fishing takes you beyond the nearshore zone into deeper, open water. It offers big fights, wide horizons, and the chance to chase fast, powerful game fish. If you want adventure and a real test of skill, this is a great choice.

Common targets include Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Amberjack, Grouper, Red Snapper, and Tilefish. Many trips also hunt Billfish like Sailfish and Marlin, and some pursue Swordfish. These species are famous for speed, strength, and thrilling runs.

Captains use proven techniques that match the season and conditions. Trolling pulls lures or bait behind the boat to cover water. Live baiting tempts roaming predators near weed lines and rips. Bottom fishing and deep dropping reach structure holding Snapper, Grouper, and Tilefish. Jigging and chunking draw bites when fish mark under the boat. Offshore fishing is not the same as deep sea fishing, which happens in much deeper water.

Trips often run a half day to full day, with longer runs offshore. Expect a fast ride, rolling seas, and steady action when the bite is on. Beginners and families are welcome on many boats, while experienced anglers can target trophies. Most charters provide rods, reels, and tackle. Bring sun protection, a hat, polarized sunglasses, non-slip shoes, snacks, drinks, layers, and seasickness remedies if needed.

Before you go, check local rules for licenses, permits, seasons, and harvest limits. Some areas require tags for certain species, or have catch-and-release rules for protected fish. Regulations change often, so review the latest guidance for your destination ahead of your trip.
