8 hours Offshore trip woth Captain Adam

We booked a trip with Captain Adam, and he was incredible from start to finish. He took care of everything—baiting hooks, setting lines, and keeping the energy high. We caught a ton of fish and made great memories that will last a lifetime. If you are looking for a top-notch guide who is professional, patient, and knowledgeable, Captain Adam is your guy. We will definitely be back!

Silk Snapper are deep-water Snapper known for pink-red color and bright eyes. Anglers target them for tasty fillets and steady action. They gather over reefs, ledges, and rocky bottoms in very deep water. Silk Snapper fishing rewards patience and good bottom contact.

Most captains use bottom fishing and deep dropping to reach these fish. Deep dropping means lowering bait to great depths with heavy weights. Cut squid, fish strips, or small live bait on circle hooks works well. Vertical jigs can also draw bites. Braided line helps feel light taps, and a high-capacity or electric reel can make the lift easier.

Expect a ride offshore before lines go down into deep sea water. The bite often comes as firm taps, followed by hard headshakes. This suits anglers who enjoy steady, methodical action more than blistering runs. Crews usually supply tackle and bait, but check before your trip. Bring sun protection, a hat, snacks, and plenty of water. If you get seasick, consider medicine. Wear soft-soled shoes, and pack a cooler in your car for fillets after the trip, if allowed.

Rules for deep-water Snapper vary by area and season. Always check local fishing license and permit needs before you go. Review open seasons, harvest rules, and any gear rules, such as circle hooks or descending devices. When in doubt, ask your captain about current regulations.
