Great Afternoon

Still catching up on trip reports after a busy stretch on the water! Richard and his wife, Mary, joined me for a great morning of speckled trout fishing, and we couldn’t have asked for a much better start. The fish were hungry, the conditions were favorable, and we stayed busy putting together a nice box of quality trout. Trips like this are a reminder that some of the best days on the water aren’t just about the fish—they’re about spending time together and enjoying everything South Louisiana has to offer. Thanks again to Richard and Mary for making the trip down. I truly enjoyed spending the morning with y’all and hope to see you back again soon!

Keith’s crew had one of those trips that really highlights what South Louisiana fishing is all about. We started the morning catching a nice box of speckled trout, then decided to check a few shorelines to see if the redfish were ready to cooperate. They were, and the guys added several nice reds before we wrapped up the trip. It’s always fun when you can mix things up and catch multiple species in the same morning. Great crew, plenty of action, and another successful day on the water. Looking forward to having these guys back!

I recently helped with another annual trip for Chris and his crew, and it was every bit as much fun as the years before. These guys are the kind of anglers every guide enjoys having on the boat. From the moment they arrived at the dock, there was nonstop joking, friendly smack talk, and plenty of laughs. Add some solid fishing to the mix, and it made for another outstanding day on the water. It’s always something I look forward to each year, and I’m grateful they continue making South Louisiana part of their annual tradition. Looking forward to seeing everyone back again next season!
