Capt Matt got us on fish and helped us rookies catch our limit. Great experience! Highly recommend.
We would like to thank Matt for a great morning on Puget Sound. The three of us got at least a half-dozen fish each to the boat, unfortunately many were Kings or were native Coho so we left them in the water to be caught another day. We all lost twice as many fish as we brought to the boat due to our abilities. You can count on Matt to work to his best ability to get you on fish, as soon as one area is not producing or too many natives, he is off to a new area. We brought home three nice fish that will be great eating, and are already looking forward to our next adventure with Matt. Cheers to Messin Around with Matt David, Ted & Richard
Overall our experience was very good. The trip was easy to book. Parking was easily aquired and free. The meeting location was very visible. Restrooms were available and clean at the marina. We caught 3 good sized salmon and 1 huge one. Watch out for the "curse of the banana." Both of my boys ages 8 and 25 had a great experience. Would recommend this trip.
Excellent captain that got us hooked up with a salmon within 5 minutes of wetting the lines. Starting off explained safety issues and then how things would go if and when we had a fish on the line. Glad I paid attention because it didnt take long! We had pur boat limit within one hour and that included loosing about 5 fish due to our limited fishing experience. Over all it was a fantastic morning of fishing.
Writing a review on behalf of my husband: “Ah man we really enjoyed it. The captain was cool as hell, like hanging with one of the boys! Although we didn’t catch anything, we still had a blast. A couple of us got some bites but we weren’t able to get them up. I’d like to go in the morning next time since we did the 12-4pm this time. The captain was so nice he actually gave us some of his salmon he caught earlier in the day. 10/10 recommend this guy. “
We are a party of four adults on a bucket-list mission to catch our first salmon. Captain Matt and his trusty Defiance boat “Messin’ Around”found plenty of salmon for us on a beautiful Seattle afternoon. We are making plans to do it again next year. Thanks Matt!!
