My wife and I went with Derron and Jevon and had a great time. We fished multiple spots and caught quite a few fish. The keepers were a grouper, 5-pound lobster (Jevon dove for it!), and a 15-pound yellowjack. We ate the lobster for lunch at Morgan’s. The crew was very well-prepared and helpful. We probably had 10 snags and they just put on new hooks like it was no big deal. If you’re looking for a great captain at a reasonable price, this is your guy.

Captain Derron was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and transparent from the start. Although the timing of our trip wasn’t ideal—marked by rain and unexpected high winds—he reached out the day before to manage our expectations and even offered the option to cancel. The entire trip was such a vibe. The Captain and Crew were polite, friendly, informative, and made sure we were comfortable and safe. We caught multiple lobsters and our trip to Stingray City Sandbar was FAR more enjoyable with Derron and his crew. We found the experience to be the best part of our trip, and we will be rebooking, again, and again.

Captain Derron ran a good operation. Great rods and reels, clean 21 foot Larson. 2 of us caught plenty of fish….4 types of snappers, grunts, squirrel fish,etc. We used squid for bait while anchored. Moved locations 3 times to find fish. Rained but still had a great time with Derron who also provided some interesting history on the area.
