(6hr Trip - Ground Fishing (PM))

    Awesome day of fishing!!

Booked a charter with Capt. Derek for 4 guys fishing cod and haddock. It was a huge success!! Very knowledgeable guy. As soon as we put bait in the water we had fish on. Kept consistently catching fish all day. Boat was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking to have a great time on the water and bring home some filets. Thanks again!!

    (Half Day Trip)

    Biggest catch of the season!!

Ozzy was a fabulous captain and fishing guide. He picked us right up at the marina near our hotel. It was just a short boat ride out to our spot and the moment I dropped my line, I had a fish on! We caught cod, coal fish, haddock, hake and polac. my daughter had the monster trophy fish of the day!! Ozzy thanks agsin for a great morning.

(Full Day Offshore – Halibut (Sept.))

    The 3 Amigos

I have to say, while the current was roughh, Tony still put us on the fish. The 2 deck hands were awesome as well. They were very attentive to those who needed it. The music, LOL!!! They were playing early 70s and 80s music. Great job Cory!! I would highly recommend this crew and charter to anyone.

Cod fishing is all about tasty white meat, steady action, and simple fun. Cod are cold-water Groundfish that gather over rocky bottoms and wrecks. Anglers love them because they bite readily, fight with solid power, and make great table fare when regulations allow harvest.

You will target Cod by bottom fishing or deep sea fishing over structure. Crews often use bait rigs with squid or cut bait. Vertical jigging with metal jigs also works well. Jigging means dropping a lure to the bottom and working it upward with short lifts. Drifting lets your bait cover ground while staying near the seabed, where Cod feed.

A typical trip focuses on finding hard bottom, reefs, or wrecks, then setting up precise drifts. Expect cool weather and choppy water in many Cod areas, so dress in warm layers and bring a waterproof jacket. Non-slip shoes are helpful on wet decks. If you get seasick, consider motion-sickness remedies. Charters usually provide rods, reels, and tackle, but ask ahead about what is included. Bring a small cooler for fillets if keeping fish is permitted and cleaning is offered.

Fishing rules for Cod change by region and season. Before your trip, check local license and permit needs. Confirm open seasons, closed areas, and whether harvest is allowed. Review size and bag limits, and learn proper release steps in case regulations require catch and release. When in doubt, ask your captain to explain the latest rules.
