(4 Hour Trip – Reef Fishing (PM))

    Really fun fishing trip

Super fun experience with our captain Adam. We caught about 20 fish over the course of our four hour trip. It was a really fun time the entire time I would recommend this to anyone that even just wants a ride out of the bay as we saw dolphins and whales.

    Great trip!

Great day! Lots to see on the trip out to fishing spots. Boat was comfortable and well equipped for a true fisherman. Captain made sure to keep moving if we weren’t catching fish. Everyone in the group caught something. Highly recommend for the price. Great value.

(Private 8 Hour – Deep Sea Fishing)

    Great Trip, Thanks Shaun

Our family had a great, relaxing time out on sea and caught a lot of fish. We had a few big fish on the line but unfortunately they put up a good fight and we lost them. Shaun taught us a lot about fishing and was helpful and patient with us. Hope to come back next time!

Flathead fishing is all about simple, fun action in shallow water. These bottom-hugging ambush predators wait on sandy flats, channels, and estuaries for an easy meal. Anglers target them for steady bites, tasty fillets, and the chance to sight-cast in clear, calm conditions.

You can catch Flathead by drifting or bottom fishing over sand and mud. Light spinning tackle is ideal. Soft plastics, vibes, blades, and shallow-diving minnows all work well. Live prawns, shrimp, worms, and small bait fish are great baits. Let the lure or bait bump along the bottom, then pause. Many hits come on the pause. Handle fish with care, as spines near the gills are sharp.

Expect clear taps, headshakes, and short bursts of speed. This is relaxed, hands-on fishing that suits kids, beginners, and seasoned anglers alike. Calm bays and estuaries mean easy boat rides and plenty of casts. Bring sun protection, polarized sunglasses to spot fish on the flats, and a camera. A light jacket and water also help you stay comfortable. If you plan to keep fish where allowed, bring a small cooler with ice.

Rules vary by location. Before your trip, check local fishing license or permit needs. Confirm open seasons, and any size or daily harvest limits that may apply. When unsure, ask your captain or local authorities. Practice good fish handling, and release fish you do not plan to keep.
