    (Halibut - Multi-Species Charter)

    awesome trip

We caught halibut, cod, rockfish, pollock, silver salmon. It was great and the weather was awesome for late season. Dave and Brian were helpful, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Would highly recommend Saltwater Excursions.

    (HALF DAY SALMON (PM))

    Perfect trip, english or french!

Great trip with captain Luc, got us on the fish rapidly. A real joy to talk to about anything from fishing to life on the island. Being from Montreal we were surprised by Luc's perfect french.

    (Morning 5 Hour Trip (5:45AM))

    Amazing time!!

We had Captain Cameron and Ray as our crew and they were AMAZING! I can’t recommend them enough to anyone of any fishing skill set. This was our first time out on a real fishing boat and they were super kind and fun and we learned a lot! I will definitely be scheduling them again!

    (Shared Charter Salmon Trip)

    Best Captain around

Easily caught our fair share and limit of coho salmon. Captain Tao was super easy to communicate with and explained how to catch these aggressive and quick salmon. 10/10 would recommend Captain Tao to anyone wanting to guarantee a great trip

Salmon are iconic game fish known for power, speed, and blazing runs. Salmon fishing draws anglers who want a fierce fight and rewarding challenge. Popular targets include Chinook (King), Coho, Sockeye, Pink, and Atlantic Salmon.

You can catch Salmon by river fishing, estuary fishing, or nearshore trolling. Drift fishing means letting your bait move naturally with the current. Bobber fishing uses a float to keep your bait at the right depth. Trolling covers water with lures or bait behind a moving boat. Fly fishing and spinning also work well with spinners, spoons, plugs, and flies.

Expect early starts, changing weather, and fast action when a Salmon takes off. Beginners and families can learn quickly, while experts fine-tune every detail. Dress in layers, bring rain gear, and wear non-slip boots or waders where allowed. Polarized sunglasses help you see fish and protect your eyes. Check with your guide or captain about provided tackle and what to bring.

Before any Salmon fishing trip, review local rules. Always check your fishing license and any needed permits or tags. Confirm season dates, open areas, and harvest regulations for your target species. Some waters require barbless hooks or catch-and-release. Rules change often, so verify them close to your trip.
