    AWESOME!!!!

We went on a morning trip it was me and my two sons for a 5 hour trip. It was incredible Matt was really helpful with my kids he gave us all a chance to catch fish. Caught multiple fish and different species of fish. He even let us keep a couple and he cut it up for us. Thanks Matt looking forward to my next vacation in Hawaii just to come on your boat again!!!!

Blacktip Trevally fishing is all about speed, power, and quick action. This lively Jack is known for hard strikes and fast runs. Anglers target it for exciting light-tackle fights and frequent surface hits, often around reefs and sandy channels.

You can catch Blacktip Trevally while inshore fishing around structure, current edges, and bait schools. Spinning, popping, and fly fishing all work well. Cast metal jigs, spoons, or small poppers with a fast, steady retrieve. Live bait fish or squid also produce. Use medium spinning gear, a smooth drag, and a fluorocarbon leader to handle sharp turns and brief bursts.

Expect active casting and short, intense battles. This is great for first-time anglers and families, yet still fun for seasoned sportfishing fans. Clear water days may allow sight casting to schools. Early mornings, late afternoons, and moving tides often help. Bring sun protection, polarized sunglasses to spot fish, non-slip shoes, and plenty of water. Many anglers release these fish quickly for a healthy swim-off.

Before any trip, check local rules. Make sure you have the right fishing license or permit. Regulations on seasons, areas, and harvest can change by location. Size and bag limits may apply. Follow local guidance and your captain’s advice to stay compliant and fish responsibly.
