If you’re not used to boats and the ocean, be prepared for some good sized waves unlike anything on lakes. If you get sea sick definitely take some motion sickness medicine! Bring a towel or two as you will most likely get a little wet from ocean spray. And lastly be prepared for the experience of a lifetime!

Calm waters and warm waters. Beautiful timr to go out fishing in April but I hear the winter has better chance for big hauls of bigger fish when out deep sea.

It was a great fishing day, Cat and his help very informative listened friendly could not have asked for a better day on the water. My husband would’ve caught a fish if he would’ve listened to the captain not one, but Two had a great time.

Go Tarpon Puerto Rico - 22’
Don't do a 2 hour trip. it's well worth the money to do a 6 hour trip as the slack tide can cause a bit of a mid day slow down on bites.

although the weather was nice it did rain. the boat we used didnt have a top due to low bridges in the Mangroves to get through. I would recommend a pancho or water proof light weight jacket just in case along with a towel.

Go with these guys! They work as a team to try to put you on fish! Regardless of catching they show you a good time and Captain Mateo was a professional and worked hard. Can’t help when the fish wont bite or stay on the line.

specifically went to catch tarpon and Backwater fishing advised us on the best times to go. Captain Manny was a great guide and teacher for catching tarpon. went 8 out of 11 fish in the boat.
