Your Fishing Charter

The wild waters of the Shenandoah are calling, and Middle River Outfitters is here to take you to them!

Here you'll have access to local waters, including some honeyholes that only a local guide can show you. We also offer several private stretches for those seeking solitude.

The name of the game around here is fly fishing, and that's exactly what you'll do. You can also do a little bit of spinning, and maybe more your guide wants to show you. Whether lessons, day trips, or all inclusive weekend packages all gear will be provided and depending on the trip package, even more options will be available.

These waters are known for Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout , Brown Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Muskellunge (Musky), and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself!

Fishing on these trips is strictly catch-and-release. You'll navigate the local waters with a 13' Drift boat that can carry up to 2 passengers on drifting trips. 

Be sure to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. . It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and bottled water, no matter the weather.

Suited for beginners. We cover all the basics of fly fishing. Casting, knots, entomology, and reading the stream. Plenty of time to fish in the stream.

Half Day Trip – Lessons

Float down your own private Smallmouth stream. We have exclusive access to guide you and one other person through idyllic Shenandoah Valley farmlands. If you like catching fish and wildlife this is a trip like no other in the area. Equipment and lunch provided.

Full Day Trip – Float

Spend a day on the water going after your choice of fish. Spend the day hiking and climbing waterfalls for natives, a local spring creek for wild Browns, or one of our private stretches for a day of solitude with your buddies. Either way, all equipment is provided as well as a locally sourced lunch and beverages.

We provide everything you need for a carefree and relaxed fishing trip. From lodging and meal options, fine wine and local foods, and numerous activities both on and off-site, all suited to you.
