Your Fishing Charter

If you're ready to start fishing in Puerto Vallarta, look no further than Viking 2 Fishing Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Santana Ceja is prepared to put you on fish. 

Species like Jack Crevalle, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Yellowtail Amberjack, Roosterfish, Skipjack Tuna, Striped Marlin, Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, and more are in the cards if conditions are right. On these trips, it’s common to troll using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Santana Ceja can also show you kite fishing. 

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly! 

You'll be dropping lines from a 28' Panga that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

It's always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
