If you’re here to make the most of fishing in Gulf Shores, look no further than Off the Hook Charters!! Your guide for the day is Captain Andrew. 

Andrew is one of the most well-rounded fishermen on the Gulf Coast with 30+ years of experience. He has knowledge of every aspect of the fishing world, from tournament fishing offshore to fly fishing the marshy flats to inshore/nearshore fishing. Booking a trip with Captain Andrew is a no-brainer!!! 

Around here it’s common to catch Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Cobia, Flounder, Redfish, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Sheepshead, Red Snapper, and many more, depending on the season. During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, don’t worry we have got you covered. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

Your vessel for the day is a 24’ 23V Kenner bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers comfortably. It has all the essentials. Your captain will provide license, bait, tackle, and all equipment. Your captain will also provide fish cleaning, typically customers add a gratuity for this service.

Some essentials to bring are a small cooler with drinks and snacks, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray).

This is a great introduction trip!!! We go out and catch bait if needed and a few fish. This trip is a great option for kids and a wonderful way to enjoy the summer heat. It also lets you save some money without missing out on the fishing action!

On this trip, your targeted species will include Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Pompano, Flounder, and Black Drum depending on migratory fish patterns. If the seas are fair, you will venture out a few miles into the Gulf and fish for Cobia, King Mackerel, and Spanish Mackerel, among others.

3 Hour Trip – Inshore/Nearshore

4 Hour Trip – Inshore Winter (PM)

On this trip, your targeted species will include Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Pompano, Flounder, and Black Drum depending on migratory fish patterns. If the seas are fair you will venture out a few miles into the Gulf and fish for Cobia, King Mackerel, and Spanish Mackerel, among others.

4 Hr Trip – Inshore/Nearshore

On this trip, we will primarily fish for the famous Red Snapper up to 9 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico.

4 Hour Trip – Red Snapper

These trip are done on our state water snapper bay boats that also have federal pelagic permits that will allow us to fish for Cobia and king mackerel outside of 3 miles. On this trip we will first target our red snapper then after we get those fish in the box we will spend the rest of our time fishing for Cobia and/or kings all depending on the seasons and fish migratory patterns.

5 hr Red Snapper combo (AM)

These trip are done on our state water snapper bay boats that also have federal pelagic permits that will allow us to fish for Cobia and king mackerel outside of 3 miles. On this trip we will first target our red snapper then after we get those fish in the box we will spend the rest of our time fishing for Cobia and/or kings all depending on the seasons and fish migratory patterns.
