Is That Right Sport Fishing runs angling trips out of Virgina Beach, VA and offers to take you on a Chesapeake Bay or Atlantic Ocean sport fishing adventure to cherish for years to come!

Capt. Ryan's goal is to ensure you have a blessed day full of fishing. He specializes in light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, and trolling, all to get you on that bite. This involves 4, 6, 8, and 12 hour  trips, mainly fishing for Striped Bass aka rockfish, Catfish, Tuna, Wahoo, Seabass, and Cobia, depending on the season, regulations, and conditions on the day.

Your adventure begins on board a luxury 36' Luhrs offshore sportfishing boat that can fit a maximum of 6 anglers. The boat is fitted with a toilet, ac, and ice box. It's also equipped with navigation gear and a kitchen. When it comes to high end rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. There's no need to worry about fishing licenses, as they will be provided and handled by the charter.

Please bring food and drinks of your choice in a small cooler. Don’t forget rain gear, appropriate clothing for changing weather conditions, sunscreen, and personal medicines. You'll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip. 

There will be a first mate on board to help you with anything you need. The first mate works for tips that are 20% of the trip's price; the tip includes fish cleaning and packaging.

The trip lasts 8 hours is has a flexible start time. This trip is to get out on the water all day and target as many species as possible. These 8 hours include travel to and from the fishing location and allows to travel further up and down the coast and to some close wrecks. A 6-person maximum for the trip. There will be a 20% gratuity for mate, fish cleaning, and packaging.

8 Hour Nearshore Trip

This trip lasts for 8 hours and is the preferred trip for targetting black seabass and flounder bottom fishing wrecks approximately 25 miles offshore with a no refund sea sick policy as we can fish nearshore or inshore. These 8 hours include travel to and from the fishing location. A 6-person maximum for the trip. There will be a 20% gratuity for mate, fish cleaning, and packaging.

This trip departs out of Manteo, NC.
The 9 hours includes travel to and from the fishing location and we will be nearshore off of the coast. A 6-person maximum for the trip. There will be a 20% gratuity for mate which included fish cleaning, and packaging. Usually 9 hours or sunrise to sunset… heated helm…
