Species like Muskellunge (Musky), Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Northern Pike, Walleye, Yellow Perch, Sunfish, Brook Trout, Lake Trout, Lake Whitefish, Brown Trout, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Curtis also offers fly fishing.

You’re welcome to bring home any fish you catch, assuming they meet regulations. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home without any hassle. Pack a cooler ready in the car!

Trips with Fox Valley Outdoors Guide Service are fun for all ages, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don’t forget to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!

You’ll be dropping lines from a 19’ Lund Predator 1810 aluminum fishing boat that can carry up to 3 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses.  Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
