As a teacher, I enjoy showing people how to catch trophy catfish on the James River. I have a lot of availability in the summer and a fair amount on weekday evenings and weekends year round.

What’s included in the trip price
We will use a gill net, cast net, and sometimes rod and reel to catch fresh bait. This depends on the location and time of year.
Available on some trips and works for tips
The boat has a license to cover all guests on board. You do not need to purchase a fishing license to join us.
How cancellations work
Free cancellation up to 14 days prior to trip
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 14 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Pickup not included
Transfer to/from departure site is not included in trip rates.
Our boat is a great option for kids, witha railing around the full perimeter of the boat.
