Spend the day with Above Average Fishing Charter and see what's biting in Clearwater! Your guide for the day is Captain Jeff, offering years of sportfishing experience. 

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Cobia, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Grunt, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Atlantic Mackerel, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Snook, Spanish Mackerel, and whatever else takes the bait. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish. 

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea for a boost of energy when needed! 

You'll be casting lines from a 30' Island Hopper sportfishing vessel with room for 6 passengers. It has a fighting chair, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are included.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 15–20% tip is customary.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

It's always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Come and experience fishing with the best Captain and crew in Clearwater Beach.  Bring your snacks/drinks and sunscreen and we have all the gear and bait you will need for a fun day on the water.  

Also remember the "hook n cook" option with Salt and Cracker or Crabbys restaurant.  Once your catch has been cleaned and bagged for you- go and enjoy a nice meal of the freshest fish ever!
