Whether you want to introduce your kids to the wonders of angling or you’re chasing the next trophy catch, you’ve come to the right place. Captain Adam of Playin’ Hooky Charters will share his passion for fishing with you, in the Emerald Green waters of Saint Petersburg!

Join them for an angling adventure on board their 27’ Cape Horn. She has a spacious deck and you can fish from any side – the capacity is 6 anglers plus the crew. The engines are twin Suzuki's  with 200 HP each, they’ll get you to your fishing grounds quickly and smoothly.

Whatever your fishing wishes, Playin’ Hooky Charters will deliver! You can hit the nearshore waters (15 to 20 miles offshore)  for Lane snapper, Goliath grouper, King mackerel, Porgies, Grey snapper, Red Grouper, Hogfish, Big Sharks, and many many different other reef species. 

All trips are fully customizable. Want to enjoy the sights after a couple of hours of fishing? Not a problem. The gorgeous water looks to good to pass up? The charter carries snorkeling equipment for all guests. Just let the captains know if you have any special requests and they’ll accommodate you.

There’s no minimum age for kids and life jackets in all sizes are provided. Catch cleaning and filleting is included in the price, if the total number of fish cleaned is under 50. The tackle you’ll use is all high-quality equipment, made by Penn, Fin-Nor and the big Reels Eat My Tackle.

You’ll head out 11-15 miles away from the dock for great bottom fishing and free-lining for bigger fish. Popular destinations for nearshore fishing include Egmont Channel, ledges, reefs, and hard-bottom areas. This is a fun experience ideal for families who just want to be on the water. This afternoon trip will see you fishing the nearshore waters between 11 and 15 miles away from the coast. You'll fish ledges, hard-bottom areas, and reefs for various reef fish. This is a great charter for first-timers and kids! You can combine fishing with snorkeling or cruising. Depending on the time of year, this can also be a Shark and Goliath Grouper charter!

Sleep in, eat a hearty lunch, and hit the waters of Saint Petersburg for a variety of Snapper, Grouper, Barracuda, Goliath Grouper, Shark, King and Spanish Mackerel, Seabass, and many other species. You'll fish approximately 15 to 20 miles offshore.

3/4 Day Trip (PM)

Head out into the blue waters of Saint Petersburg and fish for Kingfish, Spanish Mackerel, Shark, Goliath Grouper, various Grouper, and many other species. You'll fish 15-20 miles offshore, depending on the species you want to target and the weather conditions.
