About the charter captain

Captain Ben Orr grew up fishing off the shores of Traverse City, where he learned everything there is to know about fishing on Lake Michigan. His earliest memories are of him fishing the bay with his father and watching him reel in giant Trout and King Salmon. By the age of 18, he had finally saved up enough money to buy his first boat. Capt. Ben began taking friends and family out on the lake until he found his stride and got really good at guiding trips and putting people on fish. After 5 years, he finally decided it was time to start his own charter business. Daydreamer Fishing Charters was founded and the rest is history! He loves meeting new people, teaching beginners, and watching families create lasting memories on his boat. Capt. Ben invites you to leave all your cares at the dock and come enjoy an unforgettable adventure on Lake Michigan with Daydreamer Fishing Charters!

HUGE day!!
An afternoon trip, 11am to 3pm, and we still maxed out on Lake Trout. We also caught a King, a Cisco, and a HUGE Steelhead. 1 fish total. What a day. Captain Ben knew exactly where to go and what to use. In addition to all of that he was courteous, respectful, and fun to fish with.

You may cancel your trip free of charge up to 7 days in advance. However, since your selected date is less than 7 days away, you may only cancel if it is unsafe to travel.
