Captain Mark Elliott has been in the charter business for over five decades and has instilled this same passion and dedication for fishing into his son, Captain Mark Elliott Jr. Capt. Mark Jr has been the first mate on Gone Fishin’ since the age of 8. As soon as he was 18, he officially joined his father to carry on his legacy.

Together, the two of them have over 70 years of experience fishing the waters of Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. With their combined know-how, rest assured that these two will do everything possible to make sure your experience is unforgettable.

The Gone Fishin’ V is a 44’ Henriques with twin 700 HP diesel engines and 600 gallons of fuel to provide the range and speed needed to find the fish. With an oversized 170-square-foot cockpit, transom door, cockpit helm, and room for hundreds of pounds of ice and fish, the Gone Fishin’ V is truly a fishing machine.

From fishing for Black Drum and Striped Bass in Delaware Bay to targeting various pelagic species such as Bluefin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo in the Atlantic Ocean, this boat has everything you need to take on your next adventure.

You won’t have to worry about the hassle of bringing your own equipment either. The Gone Fishin’ V has a number of top-quality Star Rods accompanied by Daiwa reels to choose from.

This trip is perfect for getting the whole family together for some fun fishing times. You'll spend around 2 hours traveling to and from the best fishing spots, allowing for 2 full hours of trolling or bottom fishing. Your main target for the day will be Bluefish, but you can also target the likes of Striped Bass, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, and more.

Half Day Trip (AM)

This trip is perfect for families looking to get out on the water for a few hours, and still have plenty of time to enjoy the other attractions Cape May has to offer. You'll spend 2 hours traveling to and from your fishing destination, which allows for 2 full hours of trolling or bottom fishing. Your main target species is Bluefish, but you can also target many more including Striped Bass, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, and Black Seabass.

Half Day Trip (PM)

Similar to the half day trip; however this trip offers you additional fishing time whether it's trolling and/or bottom fishing. Perfect for groups that want to get out early and be back in time to go to beach.

3/4 Day Trip

Springtime in Cape May has been notoriously known for its epic black drum season. Starting in early May into mid-June, these fish come from all over to spawn in the Delaware Bay. Reaching weights over 100lbs, black drum truly make for an incredible experience for both hardcore and and first time anglers.

Black Drum (Spring) - Full Day Trip

Experience one of Cape May’s most exciting fisheries. From using light tackle to trolling, you will be sure to have an unforgettable experience.

Striped Bass - 8hr Trip (Fall)

Captain Mark has built his reputation on bottom fishing. The spring and fall Seabass seasons are something that the crew of the Gone Fishin’ looks forward to every year. You will be traveling between 30-40 miles offshore to several wrecks and reefs to target jumbo Seabass. With plenty of action packed fishing from start to finish, you will be sure to enjoy this trip of a lifetime. Note: The seasons are set by the State and the dates are tentative.

Deep Water Seabass (Fall)

Deep Water Seabass (Spring)

This trip is for the group that wants the opportunity to target pelagic species such as Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and King Mackrel without the long ride to the canyons. On this trip, you'll be heading anywhere from 25 miles to 35 miles from shore. Get ready for your next big game adventure aboard the "Gone Fishin’".

**A trip modification may be suggested by the captain based on the current fishing reports during the time of the scheduled trip (ie. fishing range exceeds the 35 mile limit)**

Inshore Mahi/Wahoo - 10hr Trip

Similar to the Deep Water Seabass Trip. However, you will be traveling 60 miles to the offshore rockpiles to target extra large Seabass. With plenty of action packed fishing from start to finish, you will be sure to enjoy this trip of a lifetime. Note: the seasons are set by the State and the dates are tentative.

Jumbo Seabass - 12hr Trip

Travel to the edge of the Continental Shelf where we’ll be fishing anywhere from 350’ to 600’ of water for giant Golden Tilefish as well as their smaller cousin the Blueline Tilefish. This trip is ideal for all you anglin' fin-atics out there looking for a lot more than just your average trip and wanting to create lasting memories with family and friends. This is a 12-hour trip, so bring some food and drinks, comfortable clothing, and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

Marathon Deep Drop Tilefish

This trip is ideal for all you anglin' fin-atics out there looking for a lot more than just your average trip. You'll travel between 60-70 miles from shore where you’ll be fishing along the continental shelf. Get ready for an offshore showdown as you target Yellowfin and Bluefin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, White Marlin, and Wahoo. This is a 12-hour trip, so bring some food and drinks, comfortable clothing, and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

Northeast Canyons (Tuna)

Want the best of both worlds for your offshore adventure? Then this trip is for you! Spend half of the day deep dropping for Golden and Blueline Tilefish. We will then switch up tactics and troll the canyons for Yellowfin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and other pelagic species. This trip will be sure to give you lasting memories and full freezers!
