Your Fishing Charter

For your next nearshore and offshore fishing expedition out of Atlantic Beach, book a trip with Tombstone Fishing Charters. They are locally owned and operated by captain Jared Best, who’s been fishing his whole life. Whether you want to stay in close and catch Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel or venture out to bluewater to catch Mahi Mahi and Wahoo, or even bottom fish for Snapper, Grouper, and Triggers, Capt. Jared has the knowledge and equipment to accommodate your wishes. 

He also offers daytime Swordfish trips and when the weather starts getting cooler (Nov–Jan), you can take a shot at Giant Bluefin Tuna!

The fishing machine you’ll board is the captain’s 36’ center console, newly built in 2018. The boat accommodates up to 6 guests but 4 can fish at the same time. She’s equipped with 2 very powerful 300 HP Suzuki engines that can reach a maximum speed of 50 knots. This speed is especially useful on offshore trips, allowing you to reach the fishing spots faster.

If you’re a novice, the captain will teach you how to reel in the fish once it takes the bait, but you can learn even more if you’d like to – the captain can show you the process of preparation, how to use your bait, cast, and more.

Capt. Jared will prepare your Shimano rods and reels, lures, and bait. A fishing license is also covered. You’ll need to bring your snacks and drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses, or whatever will make your stay on the boat more enjoyable.

This trip will take you fishing nearshore for Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. You could also try bottom fish on some nearshore reefs and wrecks. Your fishing license and equipment are covered, you only need to bring snacks and drinks for the day. Fish cleaning is available upon request.

You'll reach your fishing spot in only a few minutes. On this trip, you will be fishing nearshore for Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish or you can bottom fish on nearshore reefs and wrecks. Half Day Trip – Nearshore (PM)

On this trip, you'll leave the dock early in search of the Giant Bluefin Tuna. It takes up to 20 minutes to reach the fishing spot. The Bluefin Tuna travels through our area from November through January feeding on schools of bait located off our coast.

Half Day Trip – Giant Bluefin Tuna

On this trip, you will travel out to deeper waters where you could catch King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, and Barracuda or you could bottom fish for Snapper, Groupers, and Black Seabass. Bring your snacks and drinks. Fish cleaning is available upon request.

3/4 Day Trip

On this trip, you will leave the dock early in search of Giant Bluefin Tuna. This time of year from November through January the Bluefin comes in to feed on schools of bait located off the coast. Join this amazing adventure!

Full Day Trip – Giant Bluefin Tuna

On this trip, you will travel out towards the Gulf Stream, where you could catch Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Sailfish, and Marlin. It can take more than an hour to search and find the best fishing spot. You can also bottom fish for Trigger, Snapper, and Grouper. The captain will prepare your fishing equipment. Fish cleaning is available upon request.

11 Hour Trip – Offshore

On this trip, you'll be traveling out to deep waters targeting Swordfish. This type of fishing is unique and different from normal offshore fishing as you will be dropping baits to depths of up to 1,800 feet deep in search of these creatures. Bring whatever you want to eat and drink for the trip. Fish cleaning is available upon request.
