Join Heavy Hitter and score a home run with Captain George Smith, aboard his 37’ Bertram sportfisher built for serious fishing.Once you hit the open waters, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the classic Bertram ride. Cape May, NJ is perhaps one of the most underrated fishing destinations in the US and provides some of the best action for anglers of all levels of experience.

The captain’s boat is just the vessel you want for an offshore excursion. She comes fully stocked with state-of-the-art navigational systems and electronics, outriggers and downriggers, a flybridge, private head, bed, and kitchen. She’s also wheelchair accessible, equipped with all necessary safety equipment, and safe for children of all ages. The captain can take up to 6 people per trip and each person can fish at the same time. 

Once you reach the offshore fishing grounds, you’ll be trolling/chunking for a range of pelagics, such as White Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin, and Bluefin Tuna. For your inshore trips, Capt. George will take you on an epic battle against some hard-fighters like Striped Bass, Bluefish, and Back Drum. Some other species you can target include Spanish Mackerel, Black Seabass, and Triggerfish as well. Each trip includes top-quality Penn and Shimano rods and reels, live bait, lures, and a first mate to assist you with anything you need.

Your fishing license is included in the trip, so you can focus more on the fishing and less about the logistics. Everything is taken care of, all you need to do is book your trip, bring some snacks, drinks, comfortable clothing, and let Capt. George show you a great time!
