I love the outdoors and have always been a fisherman, growing up in Florida. I love to fish anywhere, from freshwater to saltwater. When I got married 49years ago and my wife's dad was a fishing guide and suggested that I get my Captain's License. I did, and have not regretted it since. I take people around the islands to catch a Redfish, if the tides are right to do so. If you don't know how to fish, I try to teach you through a short lesson. You will cast to catch Trout and other species of fish.

    Even in the hottest time of the year to fish I put an 18 inch and 25 inch red fish in the boat and had them for supper. Being my first time in the area Capt. Tibbett's put me on some fish and showed me the area by water and that was a great trip for me.

What's biting with Capt. Duane Tibbetts in Homosassa

Some of the biggest Redfish around here are caught in November, when the weather is nice and cool. Bottom fish will be biting more on the reefs, just be sure to check the weather forecast before heading out.
