I'm from Trinidad & Tobago and was raised in Puerto Rico, awakening to the sites of cruise ships, fishing vessels, and crystal-clear beaches, waves crashing onshore, and a brisk salty breeze out my bedroom window. I spent most of my childhood fishing and surfing on the island of Puerto Rico. I love the places my love for the ocean has taken me, and the people I've met along the way. I moved to Orlando FL, and got married to my beautiful wife. Two wonderful kids later, the ocean called me, and I wanted to teach and share my passion of navigating & fishing the ocean to my kids and friends. So we find ourselves living in Venice, FL, and haven't looked back. The saltwater fishery here is truly a gift, there is always something amazing to target in every season! I've picked up a variety of tactics and methods throughout the years and worked hard at perfecting my craft. As a Coast Guard Certified Captain, my passion for the ocean and safe boating is strong. It brings me great joy to share my knowledge of fishing with my kids and all who join me on a fishing adventure. Whether we are fishing nearshore for Snooks, Mangroves, and Redfish or shooting offshore 9 miles in search of Snappers and Groupers, every trip is a chance for an adventure. The main objectives of any of my outings are the safety of all my passengers and crew and the pursuit of a memorable day.

    Too Many Too Count

    4 Hours Day Trip • 4 adults

    Captain Marvis brought us too the right spots. His boat was clean and well kept with with all the bait and tackle in good condition and working order. My wife and two older sons caught all kinds of fish species and had a blast with nonstop action. Enjoyed Captain Marvis’ stories while he kept busy feeding us bait and helping out with fish hook removal when needed. At the end of the trip Captain Marvis cleaned our catch with the company some pelicans waiting for their share. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be booking again whenever we’re back down.

    Great trip

    4 Hours Day Trip • 5 adults

    First time out deep sea fishing for 4/5 of us and we had a great time! Captain was super cool and easy going. Fish were biting every time we dropped a hook. After our half day we got 2 gallon bags full of grunt, red snapper, and blue runner.

    Great 1/2 day of fishing!!

    (PM) Half Day Trip • 5 adults

    Our group of 4 had a great 1/2 day PM charter. It was a beautiful day. Captain Marvis was fantastic. He was always looking for more options to find new spots to find more fish. we caught so many fish (Spanish Mackeral, Pufferfish, Sheepshead, Triggerfish, Grunt, Sand Perch, & More). What we were able to take with us, he prepared at the dock was amazing when we cooked on the grill. He did a great job fileting them for us. We had so much fun and highly recommend the trip!!

    Awesome fishing trip

    Our captain (Marvis James) was awesome! We caught a great variety of fish, including snapper, grouper, and even tarpon, making it an exciting trip from start to finish. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and Marvis was always there to help and make sure everyone had a great time.

    Fantastic Fishing Adventure!

    6 Hours Day Trip • 6 adults • 1 child

    Captain Marvis was fantastic! Relaxed and fun, our family enjoyed his charter immensely. He assisted whenever we needed help, taught those with less experience to bait their hook and unhook the fish, and made sure we found quality spots to fish! We caught some nice keepers and will definitely be back!
