When you charter a boat for the first time, you just don’t know what to expect. If the fish are biting has a lot to do with how much fun you will have on the trip. That said it should have nothing to do with your respect for the crew. It is a tough life managing a boat as well as being the deck hand.. there is so much to take care of. The cleanliness of the boat, the food and drinks, sea sick passengers, baiting hooks , putting up with novice fishermen and women, on and on.

That said the trip was a huge success. Dustin the deck hand did a greAt job and Jeremy was a world class captain putting us on top of the fish over and over. Blue fin tuna are finicky and very tough to catch . It takes team work to get them on the boat. Captain Jeremy even dived in the water to take a line off the prop with a 75 lb tuna on the line which we landed after an hour fight on light tackle with 30lb test. We landed 5 nice blue fins on six hook ups the crew was great as well as our time at sea. We highly recommend the About Time as well as their crew.  Phil Lebherz….

Decided Wednesday to go Saturday and booked online without issue. Was met at the gate as promised by Capt. Joe, who though young, demonstrated all the quality attributes you would expect from a professional holding the title of captain. Capt Joe was courtesy, reassuring and diligent, making certain my family and I had a great and productive outing. Always with tips for safety and technique, he saw the mission through. The boat was clean and ample. Safety devices available. My wife and I are both “in medicine” and never worried about the virus as things were very clean and the captain conscientious. We are definitely coming back for the tuna fish, but only if Capt Joe is available. Thx to Captains Clowers and Joe for a memorable day. See you in September. The Family

Amazing day on the water today! We booked the full day trip aboard the boat Any Minute.

Jeremy met us at the dock gate just before 6am and escorted us to the boat. He got us situated and quickly got us under way. A quick stop at the bait barge and then on our way to the fishing grounds!

Once on the grounds, Jeremy’s knowledge and professionalism kicked in! He took the time to explain the different types of fishing we would be doing. Trolling, chunking….etc. We pulled up to a kelp paddy and with in 20 minutes it was game on!  A few small yellowtail to start and then things heated up! Within a half hour we were seeing boils of 20 plus pound yellowfin and bent rods.

Jeremy kept the bite going for the majority of the day. His knowledge and patience for getting a paddy bite to take shape and work it, paid off big today.

Couldnt be more pleased with the trip and the experience with this fishing Charter. I’ll be back time and time again. Thanks Jeremy and Alan Clowers charters!

Captain Jeremy and Jason were awesome.  They knew exactly where the fish are.  We went for yellow tail but the entire fleet were not biting.  Jeremy pivoted to Rock Fish and you couldn’t put your line down fast enough.  If we were better fishermen we would have caught our limit very quickly.  Cant wait to go again
