I went to school to be a game warden and started fishing when I was 5 years old. In the late 80's early 90's I opened up my Guide service on Lake Texoma for Striped Bass.

    rain didn't stop us!!

    3-4 Hour Striper After Noon Trip. • 3 adults • 1 child

    my 2 sons and i went out with Captain dirk and GW. The first couple hours, it was on and on rain. At one point, it was raining hard for about 10 minutes, and we were the only boat on the lake. That did not stop them from keeping us fishing. We had a great time hearing them banter and tell old stories back and forth. They did a great job making sure my 9 - and 19 yr old sons had a blast. It was a tough bite that day, but that didn't keep them from trying to help us limit out. we still ended up with about 15 keepers, which is plenty for us. the trip said 3-4 hrs, but they kept with it for about 6-7 hrs, making sure we tried everything possible. We will definitely be going back and booking with Captain dirk again!!

    These guys were great sports, weather man said 20% chance of rain and it did that and more we love to see kids catch there personal best fish and I can say the youngest did just that. Double Digits Blue Cat and Striper. Thanks again for the trip hope to see you all again soon.

    Great time!

    4 Hour Trip – Standard Striped Bass • 2 adults

    We had a pretty good fishing day:17 keepers of stripers, white bass, sand bass and a decent catfish between my friend and I. This was my second trip with Captain Dirk and will plan another for next year.

    Even though it was very windy 20+mph with 35mph gusts, we still cought some nice stripers Capt Dirk was FANTASTIC !!!!

    Johnson/Spears fishing trip

    4 Hour Trip – Standard Striped Bass • 2 adults

    Had such a great time with our captain, full of great information, we started off with a stormy morning, but we stayed with the trip and had the best time for my father-in-law for his birthday, we will book again in the future.

    Gary and crew where a great group of guys. Enjoy the trip very much. We had to wait for the rain to get by us and a 30 degree temperature drop but we put a good box of fish together. Looking forward in the next trip.

Fished live bait in 30 plus mph winds. Found a spot I knew we could fish a little bit out of the 4 ft roller’s and we smoked the big fish and good box fish. We had a blast with this group that had never fished for stripers before.

Windy day on the water

Big Fish Time

As the lake continues to come down and water temperatures rise due to the summer heat the fish have gone into their summer patterns. With this Louie’s Lures Guide Service has been right with them. We never left the lake for greener pastures during the flooding and by doing that we’re having a great time putting our customers on the bigger fish. June and July have always been our big fish mouths we lost part of June due to water levels but it’s right where it needs to be now come join the action. While it’s still nice and before it gets to hot.

Weather getting hoter

Last few days have been hot. The Stripers have went into the summer pattern but we can still catch them. Numbers might be less but the sizes are good. The last two trips have produced good size fish.

Lake Texoma Flooded Fishing

It has been awhile since I have put a report out. We have been so busy fishing have not really taken the time but I will try and get better at it. Every one is saying Lake Texoma Fishing is not very good, with the flooding of the lake. We here at Louie's Lures Guide Service Lake Texoma never stopped fishing. some Trips where better than others but we always put fish in the boat. Now that the water levels are coming down the fishing is indeed getting better and we know where they are. Here are some pictures of out last trips.
