Captain Lehman Norman is a 4th generation Floridian. He moved to St. Augustine from Boca Grande,FL at the age of 6 he's fished the waters from the south-west Florida to northeast Florida going back and forth as a kid. In addition to being an avid and experienced fisherman, Capt. Lehman also holds a commerical Restricted Species License and is an active local fishing competitor. He was also a flyfishing guide in Cordova, AK for the better part of 8 years.

    Truly the Best Trip EVER!

    Full Day Trip - Inshore • 3 adults

    Captain Lehman is the greatest fishing guide I've ever had the privilege of meeting. He was so down to earth that if seemed as though we've known each other for years. Now about the fish- simply put, he put us on the fish! We made several stops and caught something at each stop. A personal best redfish of 23 inches was caught, only to be replaced by another personal best 24 inch redfish! Although we hooked up and landed some undersized flounder, Captain Lehman took us to another spot where 3 keepers (flounder) were caught. We caught a variety of fish: redfish, flounder, mangrove snapper, jack crevalle, catfish, sea robin, and a puffer fish (I know the last four species are trash fish, we still landed them). We felt so good to end up with a keeper slam of redfish, flounder, and mangrove snapper! Seeing the manatees, dolphins, and sea turtles was a nice bonus. Like I previously stated, Captain Lehman put us on the fish- he instructed us on where to cast and what kind of action to apply- and we caught a good amount of fish! Here's to hoping for another trip in the future! If you want to catch some decent fish, book Captain Lehman! V/r, Mike R.

    Great Inshore Boat and Captain

    Full Day Trip - Inshore • 3 adults

    Capt Lehman was great-on time ,ready, and a great conversationalist. We hit a bunch of spots and caught fish in all of them-8 different species and took home enough fish for multiple meals. Couldn't recommend him more- knew plenty about the history of the area too. kept us entertained and "hittin em" all day

    Lehman Norman is a terrific guide

    Half Day Trip (AM) - Inshore • 4 adults

    We had a great half day morning trip with Lehman. He took us to good spots and helped everyone in the group with our casting and fishing technique. We caught 13 fish, mostly sheepshead that provided a delicious lunch and dinner. This was our third trip with Lehman and it has been fun every time.

What's biting with Local Knowledge Fishing Charters in St. Augustine

Although this is usually the wettest month of the year, it has some big rewards for anglers. Sailfish can be found balling bait just 25 miles offshore and flood tides inshore make for amazing sight fishing.

Caught some redfish then went to the real workout station and pulled on some giant bluefish. Who were picky in the beginning but we adjusted tactics and hammered down on some nice ones. Great day to be out on the water.

Caught everything and then some.

Had these 4 guys from Tennessee who said they wanted to catch some fish and have a good time. Well we did just that along with seeing two manatees a couple sea turtles and a pod of dolphins come to the boat. Great day on the water.

Great day with some great people

Started the day with a bang landing a nice 25inch redfish. Then worked on the trout till their arms were tired then went back to catching redfish landing a total of 6 reds, 30-40 spotted sea trout, a couple nice bluefish and a Spanish Mackerel. Great day on the water with sunshine and tight lines.

Flat calm morning here in st. Augustine

Morning started off with little to no wind and a low outgoing tide. landed some nice redfish throwing jig heads with live shrimp then we went closer to inlet and caught 16 trout between 14-18inches. All and all great day on the water.
