Hello, I'm Captain Gavin Shores! Fishing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I spent my entire life exploring these waters and cherishing every moment of it. Before becoming a guide, I worked hard as an airboat captain, waiting for the perfect opportunity to launch my guiding career. And now, here I am, living my dream and helping others discover the wonders of this beautiful area. Life is full of exciting adventures, and I'm thrilled to share my knowledge and experiences with all of you!

    Great trip

    Half Day Trip – Inshore • 2 adults

    We had a great time with Captain Gavin. It was a little bit of a tough day for fishing. Cold, really low tide, but Captain Gavin went above and beyond to get us on some fish. And he did! Captain Gavin was a great guide, he really knows the area. And he was fun a talk with. His boat is in great condition, equipment was great. We had a very enjoyable day with Captain Gavin. We'll be booking him again and would recommend to anyone wanting to fish this area. Thanks Captain Gavin!

    Will Be Back

    Full Day Trip – Inshore • 2 adults

    My son and I went out on a beautiful but cool day. The fish can be fickle this time of the year but Capt. Gavin made sure we had a good day. We caught trout and several other species of fish and enjoyed the beautiful waterways. The captain has been fishing for many years and is knowledgeable of the area. I will be back when the bite picks!

    Scalloping trip with Capt Gavin

    Half Day Trip – Scallop

    Met Gavin last year during a scalloping trip with another company. He has his own business now and the quality of the experience was great! He made our group of women feel welcomed and right at home. Very responsive and professional.

What's biting with All Shores Outdoors in Crystal River

This is your last chance to get your hands on some delicious bay Scallops in the river. Inshore, the Tarpon may be gone, but you can still hook into Redfish, Spotted Trout, and Snook.

Inshore bite has been on fire!

May 30, 2026 • Crystal River
The redfish and snook bite have been pretty steady in the mangroves. The trout have been hit ir miss as the water warms up, but where they lack in number, they make up for in size. The nearshore rocks are also starting to heat up with the mangrove snapper and grunt bite picking up as well as black seabass for the first time in years. Cobia are still around, but the tarpon bite has neen hot/cold this season. Were still putting some great fish in the boat as we approach scallop season starting in July.

This Summer is HOT!!

The scallops have been great this year and are still going strong in about 3-7ft of water. The redfish bite has been steady, and the water is cooling some, so the trout have begun to show up on the flats and River mouths. Snook have been aggressive and their season opens September 1st as well as grouper.

Inshore bite is heating up!

The spring transition is in full force. the trout are moving out onto the reef and the redfish and snook are working their way out of the creeks and rivers and into the outer islands and flats. The bait is becoming more plentiful, so switching from shrimp and shrimp profiles to a live bait fish or bait fish profile has been really effective. The trout on this trip were caught on a nose hooked fluke in white. The redfish were caught on a live mud minnow free lined into the mangroves.
