  Outstanding fishing trip

  7 Hour Trip – Land Based Shark on December 20, 2023 • 4 adults

  We decided to book with Wreckless December 2023 since this is our first time to the area. We are avid surf fishermen and wanted to learn how to shark fish from an expert and man, we were not disappointed!! Astro was all set up when we arrived at the beach, with drinks and camp chairs. His first mate had trouble getting there that day, so he did all the baiting and kayaking of baits out past the sandbars to get to where the big ones are. Even in the cold water! Each of us hooked and landed a 6-7ft sandbar shark. Biggest fish of our lives. Astro took care to protect the amazing animals and released them back to fight another day. I would highly recommend Wreckless if you aren’t a fan of boats or want to get to know the area.

  Shark Fishing with Astro

  7 Hour Trip – Land Based Shark on August 18, 2023

  My husband, son Jackson and myself went shark fishing with Astro and his team. It was a blast going out learning how they do everything. They had glow sticks for the fishing poles, they kayaked out one of the fishing pole lines for more yards and even brought corn hole and hammocks for the evening. They had about 6-8 poles in the water and we caught an awesome huge shark and a Goliath Grouper off the shore. They were very accommodating with teaching my son (8) how they did everything, let him cut up some bait and put some shark bait (fish) on the line. He even was reeling in a shark. The sunset was beautiful, playing corn hole with my son was fun. They made the trip very eventful. Even though we were shark fishing catching the giant Goliath Grouper was the highlight of the evening as well. I had never caught such an amazing fish off the shoreline. We caught an awesome shark that made my arms very sore from reeling in but it was an awesome trip. We look forward to going again shark fishing with Astro and his team, they made it fun and we learned a lot about it all.

  Half night trip with caption Astro Williams

  7 Hour Trip – Land Based Shark on January 8, 2023

  This was my first time going fishing for sharks. We got to our spot and start setting up. At that point Astro explained the what type of rods, reals, line, hooks, weights, and bait he uses to catch sharks from the shore. Shortly after that he was paddling the bait out. He set 3 baits out. It took a little while to get a bite but when we did it was on! Astro and his crew help get the real adjusted to be the right drag. The fight was hard but nothing less than awesome. Fighting a shark from shore gave me even more respect for the power they have. The fight lasted 20 -25 minutes. When the shark came close to shore the crew was fast to identify the shark to make sure we followed all regulations to the catch and release process. I got to help release the shark, what a thrill. I will definitely be fishing with Astro again in the future.
