6hr fishing • 5 adultsWe had an awesome time fishing with Mike! He was great to talk with, knew the local waters inside and out, and definitely knew where to find the fish. We were catching fish all day. At one point, it felt like as soon as we got our lines back in the water, we were hooking into another one. By the end of the trip, my arm was actually tired from reeling. That’s a pretty good problem to have on a fishing charter! Mike made the whole experience fun and easy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. If you’re looking for a great fishing charter in SW Florida, book with Mike at Charters in Paradise. Highly recommend!

1/2 day 4hr Fishing - 1:30 PM • 3 adultsWe had an awesome time with Captain Mike! Between the four of us, we caught around 40 fish, even though the conditions weren’t ideal. He worked hard all day, moving us to different spots to keep us on fish instead of just waiting for the bite to improve. He was friendly, accommodating, patient, and made the trip a lot of fun. You could tell he genuinely wanted everyone on the boat to have a great experience and catch fish. We never felt rushed, and he kept the energy up the whole trip. If you’re looking for a captain who puts in the effort and does everything he can to make your day successful, I highly recommend booking with him. We’d absolutely fish with him again! 🎣

This was the second time that we’ve had the honor of finishing with Captain Mike and it was even better than the first! Captain Mike is the consummate professional! He has an amazing boat, great equipment, a nose for the fish and surprrb customer service! We had a party of 5, including two older people who needed a lot of help with EVERYTHING! Mike was absolutely amazing with his patience, hard work and understanding and made the trip a memory of a lifetime for all of us! We caught a lot of fish, had a lot of laughs and made a lot of great memories. I would HIGHLY recommend Captain Mike for anyone from a serious angler to families with kids who just want to get out on the water and have some fun!!! You won’t be disappointed. Absolute great guy and a first class operation! We’ll definitely be back!!!

The captain worked hard to put us on the fish and wasted no time when they weren't biting in a particular spot. The 4 of us ended up catching close to 30 fish when it was all said and done. We caught a nice mixed bag of snapper, red and black grouper, puffer fish, lady fish, sheepshead and a catfish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great charter out of Fort Myers.

January brings cooler waters and some of the best fishing opportunities of the year to Fort Myers Beach, Florida. This month, anglers are thrilled to see the **sheepshead** making their return in big numbers. These hard-fighting, stripe-patterned fish are congregating around docks, pilings, and jetties, especially in areas rich with barnacles and oysters. Live shrimp or fiddler crabs are the go-to baits to hook these delicious fish, known for their challenging bite and excellent flavor.
The backwaters are alive with action, as **ladyfish**, affectionately known as "mini tarpon" by locals, are providing non-stop fun. These feisty fish are abundant and put on a spectacular aerial show, much like their larger namesakes. They’re a perfect target for light tackle anglers looking for fast-paced action. Small jigs, soft plastics, or live shrimp under a popping cork will keep your rod bent all day.

As December rolls in, the fishing off Fort Myers Beach has been excellent, offering anglers a mix of inshore and nearshore action. Cooler water temperatures and calm conditions have created the perfect environment for a variety of species.
Inshore Fishing
• Redfish: The redfish bite remains strong, especially around mangroves and oyster bars. Live shrimp and cut bait have been the top choices, with artificial paddle tails working well for those casting.
• Sheepshead: Sheepshead are in abundance around docks, piers, and other structures. These “convict fish” are biting on live shrimp and fiddler crabs. Their numbers will only increase as we head further into winter.
• Snapper: Mangrove snapper are holding steady in inshore waters near bridges and rock piles. Small pilchards and shrimp are producing solid results.
Nearshore and Offshore Fishing
