    Awesome Fishing Experience with Mike!

    We had an awesome time fishing with Mike! He was great to talk with, knew the local waters inside and out, and definitely knew where to find the fish. We were catching fish all day. At one point, it felt like as soon as we got our lines back in the water, we were hooking into another one. By the end of the trip, my arm was actually tired from reeling. That’s a pretty good problem to have on a fishing charter! Mike made the whole experience fun and easy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. If you’re looking for a great fishing charter in SW Florida, book with Mike at Charters in Paradise. Highly recommend!

    We had an awesome time with Captain Mike! Between the four of us, we caught around 40 fish, even though the conditions weren’t ideal. He worked hard all day, moving us to different spots to keep us on fish instead of just waiting for the bite to improve. He was friendly, accommodating, patient, and made the trip a lot of fun. You could tell he genuinely wanted everyone on the boat to have a great experience and catch fish. We never felt rushed, and he kept the energy up the whole trip. If you’re looking for a captain who puts in the effort and does everything he can to make your day successful, I highly recommend booking with him. We’d absolutely fish with him again! 🎣

    Captain Mike is absolutely fantastic! This was the second time that we’ve had the honor of finishing with Captain Mike and it was even better than the first! Captain Mike is the consummate professional! He has an amazing boat, great equipment, a nose for the fish and surprrb customer service! We had a party of 5, including two older people who needed a lot of help with EVERYTHING! Mike was absolutely amazing with his patience, hard work and understanding and made the trip a memory of a lifetime for all of us! We caught a lot of fish, had a lot of laughs and made a lot of great memories. I would HIGHLY recommend Captain Mike for anyone from a serious angler to families with kids who just want to get out on the water and have some fun!!! You won’t be disappointed. Absolute great guy and a first class operation! We’ll definitely be back!!!

    Full Day Fishing Weekday • 4 adults

    Captain Mike was great to be around. We caught fish right away. He was very knowledgeable on how to find them and stay on them. We had teenagers and he was great with them. We caught the biggest fish we have fished for and tons of other fish. At the end of the day even the teenagers were tired. I would highly recommend this charter.

    Captain Mike was great! He was so knowledgeable and helpful! We tried several spots and caught a wide variety of fish. He had everything we needed, music, and lots of bait. It was easy to find and to get parking too. We had the best time and made some core memories! We are already looking to book again!

**Fort Myers Beach January Fishing Report** January brings cooler waters and some of the best fishing opportunities of the year to Fort Myers Beach, Florida. This month, anglers are thrilled to see the **sheepshead** making their return in big numbers. These hard-fighting, stripe-patterned fish are congregating around docks, pilings, and jetties, especially in areas rich with barnacles and oysters. Live shrimp or fiddler crabs are the go-to baits to hook these delicious fish, known for their challenging bite and excellent flavor. The backwaters are alive with action, as **ladyfish**, affectionately known as "mini tarpon" by locals, are providing non-stop fun. These feisty fish are abundant and put on a spectacular aerial show, much like their larger namesakes. They’re a perfect target for light tackle anglers looking for fast-paced action. Small jigs, soft plastics, or live shrimp under a popping cork will keep your rod bent all day. Meanwhile, **snook** remain a popular target despite the cooler water temperatures. They’re hanging out in deeper holes, warm canals, and near mangroves, where they wait to ambush prey. Focus on fishing during sunny afternoons when the water warms slightly, and use live bait like shrimp or pilchards, or slow-rolled soft plastics and jerkbaits to entice a bite. Fishing Report: Fort Myers Beach – December 2024 As December rolls in, the fishing off Fort Myers Beach has been excellent, offering anglers a mix of inshore and nearshore action. Cooler water temperatures and calm conditions have created the perfect environment for a variety of species. Inshore Fishing • Redfish: The redfish bite remains strong, especially around mangroves and oyster bars. Live shrimp and cut bait have been the top choices, with artificial paddle tails working well for those casting. • Sheepshead: Sheepshead are in abundance around docks, piers, and other structures. These “convict fish” are biting on live shrimp and fiddler crabs. Their numbers will only increase as we head further into winter. • Snapper: Mangrove snapper are holding steady in inshore waters near bridges and rock piles. Small pilchards and shrimp are producing solid results. Nearshore and Offshore Fishing • Goliath Grouper: These giants are providing plenty of excitement near wrecks and reefs. They’re putting up strong fights for anglers using heavy tackle and live bait. • Grunts and Snapper: Grunts and lane snapper are plentiful around nearshore structures.
