My friend and I had a great time yesterday with Capt Tony.  He was waiting for us when he arrived and we immediately set sail to catch fish as the rising sun showed promise of an great angler’s day.  The 36 foot boat was immaculate and powerful as we made our way 40 miles off shore to some structures where we consistently caught fish on every drop of bait.  The fishing equipment Tony had was in excellent order and worked efficiently.  We fished all morning and caught several species that had to be put back due to fishing limits.  Tony knew exactly where to navigate to put us on to some great bottom fishing at about 130 feet. Capt Tony baited the hooks and kept us snag free by his knowledgeable boating.  The only sad part of the day was heading back to shore at the end of our charter.  The weather and seas were perfect and got into shore just as the rain moved in.  I would highly recommend Capt Tony Grillo to anyone wanting to have a great fishing day.

We had such a great trip with Captain Tony! He’s a laid-back, easygoing guy, and you can tell he really cares about making sure you’re on the best spots and catching fish. He helped bait hooks, cast lines, and stepped in whenever we needed, but also gave us space to do our own thing and enjoy the trip. The boat was well-kept and comfortable, and the whole trip felt safe, smooth, and enjoyable. We ended up catching four king mackerel, with one around 50 pounds! We left with great memories (and some great fish!) and would absolutely book with Captain Tony again. If you’re looking for a charter where the captain truly cares about making your day special, this is the one.

I took my 2 sons out fishing today and boy am I glad I picked patriot charters, we had a blast, captain Tony is as experienced as they come, every spot he puts as on , fish starts biting, and when they stop he moves us to a different spot where they start again, non stop acting today!!

So we met up and everything was right on time and on schedule. capt Tony was friendly, helpful and communicative. The boat was clean and very comfortable, in fact the way it cuts through the water made it much more comfy than I’m used to, as I usually fish out of a 28” CC that bangs pretty hard towards the bow in 2-4”, but on the way back to port this 36” commercial ship felt like there weren’t any waves, even though we hit a storm near port. I actually took a nap a couple times while we switched spots. The deck is fully covered, so no worries about sunburns (typically I cover every bit of my body, but that wasn’t needed here). We had a tough day with catch, we trolled the whole day, and we landed 2 kings, and lost 4. Still had dinner and had lots of fun. No complaints at all, and I would happily recommend this charter to friends in the future. Only recommendations I have would be that he have some variety in bait and rigs just in case we need to switch things up if the day is slow as was the case with us.
