If you haven’t booked with “On The Hook Guide Fishing” you have been wasting your time and money, Charlie is truly amazing. A true professional bass fisherman, and an even better man. He took my 13 year son and I out fishing and treated us like family. To say we had fun would be an understatement. We caught 113 Bass in less than 6 hours (that’s not a type-o) , and these were fresh fish with no previous hook marks. I would say 20 or so were 3lbs+ and the others were still quality fish I’d be happy to catch any day. We caught another 30-40 fish or other species, Gar, cichlids, tilapia, and a Peacock bass.
We used artificial bait or various types, plastics, crank baits, jerk baits, spinners, and some live bait. He shared techniques and knowledge with us all day that will make us better fisherman for sure. We are already looking forward to planning another trip with Charlie in the future.

Captain Charlie is an experienced competition tournament bass fisherman. This was a first time experience for father and son on Lake Okeechobee.  We weren’t sure how things were going to go with the recent cold front that we’d seen.  The captain had called the night before to recommend that we try a different part of the lake a little bit further north than our original booking at Clewiston and so we did. We asked Charlie to pick up some shiners so we could try that as we had heard. They can really catch the big ones being the natural bait. We also used some artificials. We started out with a boat ride about 10 miles flying along through the shallows and grass flats. Once we got to our first location, put some bobbers with shiners out there and just anticipating the action which eventually came and we had a couple of good ones that turned out to be catfish. And then the first bass hit. We were both happy to catch fish I think it was six catfish and 5 bass and snagged a tilapia as we tried a few other locations. And then towards the end of the day, got my monster record bass just under 5 pounds a beautiful fat Sally. This was after the Youngin had already caught three bass for the day with his biggest a good two or three pounder.

Charlie was a great Captain! He was respectful and responsible. He kept in touch days before our booking. He sent pictures of his truck and boat ahead of time so we knew who to look for at the dock. He was on time! He had asked early on what we were wanting to fish for so he was prepared with proper tackle and bait, he had us on fish within ten minutes of being on the water. 
He had fishing stories for days and we thoroughly enjoyed them.
He was patient with me as I struggled to get a fish on, he was encouraging and patient.
Charlie taught me a new way of gutting the fish and we left with 12 perfect trout.
Charlie was so much fun! We will definitely use him again when we are back in the area.

This early morning fishing excursion was absolutely a perfect way to end a hectic traveling work week!  I love to fish but rarely make the time to go.  My sweet husband does not mind fishing but thoroughly enjoys watching me do the things I love so he booked us with Charlie.  We had a great time with Charlie who introduced me to a fishing rod and reel that is slightly better than my Zebco 33. Ha ha.  I hauled in at least a dozen bass and my sweet husband caught at least a half dozen.  We definitely kept Charlie busy.

Charlie was such a treasure.  Never had I had anyone bait my hook and unhook the fish for me!  Wow!  What service!!  I would book with Charlie again.

I normally don’t wright reviews but me, my sister and father had a wonderful fishing trip with Charlie. Charlie KNOWS how to fish and can handle anyone regardless of fishing experience (my family doesn’t have a lot of experience). Our trip was on a rainy day and Charlie managed to find a way around the rain and knew how to navigate around Table Rock Lake. Charlie has a wonderful personality and at no point were things awkward during our fishing experience. He made me and my family feel very welcome by providing drinks, fishing poles and tackle and made sure we were well taken care of. Charlie’s boat is very nice and is well taken care of, which made our trip a seamless experience for all of us. I would recommend Charlie to anyone and can say without a doubt you WILL have a great fishing experience, I WOULD go fishing with Charlie again!
