    Great trip!

    A 'Double' Charter – 4 Hours • 5 adults

    A great trip we were able to book last minute. Captain was great! Boat was perfect for the area and crossing the bay. Boat caught a Tampa Bay Grand Slam! Would definitely book again.

    The Absolute Best!

    A 'Double' Charter – 4 Hours • 6 adults • 3 children

    This charter was hands down the best experience of our most recent trip to Florida. Captain Jason was fantastic. He was incredibly patient with our kids, thorough in his explanations, and was there to help with anything we needed. We will definitely come back again to fish with Strike One.

    Flexible and great with kids

    Jason was knowledgeable, kind, flexible on start time and very patient with kids and first timers. His boat is great. I highly recommend.

    I enjoyed taking you guys fishing. I’ll be telling everyone when the bite slows down, grab some veggie straws and then you’re almost guaranteed to catch a fish (just like your son did)! Making memories is what’s it all about!

    It was our first time to ever fish throughout the South Tampa area & we had many bites! Captain Jason did a great job helping us be successful in our fishing expedition & we had a fantastic time. We highly recommend him as your next fishing guide!

What's biting with Strike One Fishing Charters in Tampa

The flats and back bays are abundant with Redfish. When the tide is low, you can see their spotted tails cutting through the water's surface, perfect for sight fishing. If you know where to look, you can also catch your late-season Tarpon.

Fall fishing has been on fire!

It has been some time since I updated this blog because I have been on the water so much. Fall fishing has been the best it has been in quite some time. The Tampa Bay Redfish has made a nice resurgence and we have been catching some big fall Snook. The Speckled Trout bite has remained solid all fall. The Fall season starts winding down with these cold fronts but Winter fishing has picked up right were fall fishing left off. We have switched to using shrimp for live bait instead of pilchards which brings some new fisheries in the mix like sheepshead.l

Highlights from aome recent trips include thr first SilverKing of the year, alot of snook, some great fighting Jacks, some reallh nice seatrout, and just recently the Redfish bite has really started to heat up!! This is definitely the best time of year to get out and catvh a variety of fish before it gets hot. Spring fishing is here!
